Information Overload and Decision Fatigue

This training event will outline the particular ways that chiropractors are distracted from making good decisions for their clients. Clients rely on their healthcare professionals for their good judgment and decision-making on their health. A growing body of research indicates that good decisions are not purely rational. Attendees will be trained in understanding the components of a good decision and the factors that can impair their ability to make excellent healthcare decisions for their clients. Attendees will learn about the common decision-making errors that can affect their judgment. One variable is the use of information. Healthcare professionals are inundated with information. Too much information can impair a chiropractor's attention and ability to focus on client needs. In this training event, doctors will learn how to recognize their decision-making errors and how to correct them.

- Doctors will learn to identify where in the four stages of the decision making process they are likely to make errors.
- Doctors will learn practical tactics on how to manage overwhelming amounts of information.
- Doctors will learn proven cognitive strategies for managing their thinking — the primary step in managing their lives and use of information.
Roger A. Hall, Ph.D. :
Roger Hall, Ph.D. is a consulting psychologist licensed in Ohio and Indiana. He received his Doctorate in Psychology from the Ohio State University in 1991. He has worked with leaders of Fortune 20 companies and small entrepreneurial firms too.
