Jeffrey Carlson, DPM:

Dr. Jeffrey CarlsonMy name is Dr. Jeffrey Carlson. I’m a physician who is co-owner of TeamCME, a nationwide network of DOT medical examiners, where I serve as Chief Medical Officer. Before joining TeamCME, I was the chief of Podiatry at Samuel Simmonds Memorial Hospital in Barrow, Alaska, and at the MediCenter Specialties Clinic in Kenai, Alaska. During my tenure at TeamCME, I have been an instructor to medical professionals desiring to become DOT certified medical examiners. I have also had the opportunity to develop an online learning management system to provide the same instruction, as well as drug and alcohol testing, in an online format. Gaining this knowledge of website development has led to other opportunities, including the creation of a mobile app as a quick reference of DOT regulations, and assisting in the development of an electronic health record.

I completed my podiatric medicine and surgery residency training at Intermountain Medical Center and the Department of Veteran Affairs hospitals in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am also a graduate of Brigham Young University, where I majored in Exercise Physiology.

I currently live in Richland, Washington with my wife and four children. When I’m not busy with TeamCME, you can find me at one of my children’s extracurricular events, working in the yard, playing the guitar or drums, or riding ATVs.
