Risk & Rewards of Chiropractic Care for the Geriatric Population

This will be a live virtual event offered during NE - Virtual Event

It is widely known that the geriatric population (those over the age of 65 years) has increased 33% from

2006 - 2016. In the next 20 years, that amount will increase again by 59% equaling a projected 82.3 million people. As people live longer, there is an increasing emphasis being placed on their ability to function independently and the chiropractic profession is poised to provide distinct & quality care, knowing the signs/symptoms and when modification to treatment can bring the best healing. This lecture is designed to highlight common missed conceptions, missed diagnosis’, and remind practitioners to look way back when recording a history. Aiming to reduce risk to both the patient and the practitioner, this lecture will provide insight on better ways to adjust, when to x-ray, etc. to help conditions of our aging population.  The saying “we take care of our own” rings true, and we are elated to bring clarification & insight to better care of our geriatric community.
