Suze Shaffer
As a Certified Healthcare Security Professional Ms. Shaffer understands the HIPAA Privacy and Security regulatory requirements. After spending nearly 15 years working in the business sector and working with numerous auditors in 2009 she started Aris Business Solutions, Inc. She quickly realized the struggle that medical offices were having with HIPAA compliance. Most organizations believed they were compliant only to find out they were not during an audit or an investigation. She began to focus all her energy and knowledge in the HIPAA arena and began Aris Medical Solutions. She and her business partner Kim Roberts created the 7 Simple Steps to HIPAA Compliance. Although nothing is simple about HIPAA anymore, she claims this is as simple as it gets! She has spoken at numerous functions and conducted countless webinars to educate the medical industry on how to adhere to HIPAA and ultimately Protect Patient Data. She has written articles in Doctor’s Life and Association of Dermatology Administrators & Managers magazines. Her goal is educate as many practices as she can to help them protect themselves.
Suze understands the dilemma that medical facilities and their business associates face trying to meet the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rule requirements and provides them with the knowledge and tools they need to meet State and Federal regulatory requirements. She and her team have successfully assisted hundreds of clients with Meaningful Use and OCR audits. Again, educating all during the process.
Suze and her team demonstrate their concern and passion for their clients through partnership, education, and support. They believe in a true partnership with their clients and educate them continuously with their security notifications. When it comes to supporting clients; they understand that medical professionals are supposed to care for their patients, so Aris takes care of them by taking care of HIPAA!
