This short-course is aimed at answering the distinct differences and similarities between traditional Chinese Medicine and Biomedical Acupuncture, also referred to as Trigger Point Dry Needling (TPDN). Items covered in this course include scope of practice, equipment needed, safety precautions, in addition to the most FAQs patients inquire in chiropractic offices when it comes to dry needling and acupuncture. It is based on the information provided that the creators of this course do, in fact, believe dry needling and acupuncture to be two separate interventions and should not be used interchangeably.

Speaker: Alex Earl

Dr. Alex Earl is a chiropractic physician who specializes in musculoskeletal related rehabilitation with athletes and active individuals. He is a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Rehabilitation (ACRB) and serves as an International Clinical Instructor for Midwest Rehabilitation Institute (MWRI), which he co-founded in 2015. MWRI has taught advanced topics in rehabilitation, sports performance, pain science education, manual therapy, trigger point dry needling and business principles to over five thousand clinicians, coaches and sport scientists.

Dr. Earl is a die-hard Liverpool FC supporter, an avid reader, the proud father to four incredible children, and the husband to the most loving and supportive woman on God’s green earth.
